The Galapagos Islands hosts a wealth of various species and wildlife. One of these species is the Marine Iguana, a unique iguana which has the ability to swim and feed underwater. You will find these all over the Galapagos region but nowhere else in the world. Sea Lions are also a common creature you will find in the Galapagos. I remember snorkelling off one of the islands and being pushed around underwater as they aggressively swam around me. Huge tortoises live freely in the semi-wild and are gentle and friendly and with a large selection of birds, the Galapagos Islands make the perfect setting for birdwatchers. With the addition of volcanic landscapes, beautiful blue waters and a wide selection of flora and fauna, the Galapagos Islands is a haven for anyone with an interest in wildlife.
